The School Centre

Bustrup is an old historical place. For hundreds of years it has been used as a mansion with a big surrounding area belonging to it, where all the small farmers worked. In the 20^th century the place was rebuilt to be used as an institution for young offenders and it was run like that until 1975 when it was bought to be used as a continuation school (danish boarding school for teenagers). For about 20 years Bustrup was working as a continuation school, also including farming with horses, cows, pigs and other animals which the students took part in taking care of.

Today parts of the buildings have been rebuilt and modernized and transformed into a modern school centre with 2 schools and 3 care homes in the surrounding area. The place is big with a lot of space, there is a big art workshop, a music room, a modern fitness centre, big light classrooms and offices, and the surrounding nature is one of the best you can find in Denmark.
